Motorcyclists looking to make the most of their time on the open roads may find a new resource from the Highways Agency helps them to do just that.
The new tool is designed to help riders read the road and stay safe while out on their bike.
And while the DVD is designed to allow motorcyclists to read the signs of the road more effectively, it may also bring other benefits. Riders may find that their
motorbike insurance premium falls if they remain safe on the road.
Jim Fitzpatrick, the road safety minister, welcomed the launch of the new Great Roads Great Rides 2 DVD.
"Motorcyclists are the single most vulnerable group on Britain's roads today - they account for just 1% of all road traffic, but for 20% of all those killed on the roads," he said.
And, as biking becomes more popular, the agency is looking to ensure riders can make the most of their time on the road, he said.
Another part of the fun of riding is accessorising the bikes, and Yamaha riders can now add a number of accessories to the 2009 YZF-R1.
Motorcycle insurance from
InsureandGo could be one way for riders to reduce the costs associated with their bike.
