Car manufacturer Saab has announced the introduction of new accessories in its latest models to help keep drivers safe on the road.
Like many other car manufacturers, Saab has plans to introduce a hands-free Bluetooth kit to help drivers communicate while on the road and which will be compatible with mobile phones.
These kits will be available on all Saab 9-5 models from 2001 and 9-3 Sport Saloon and SportWagon models from 2003.
The device will automatically connect and divert calls from the mobile phone linked to it once the car's engine is running, drowning out the radio if there is an incoming call.
Saab also has plans to introduce to new GPS safety and satellite navigation systems the Pogo Alert will receive orbiting satellite information, providing drivers with warnings of speed safety cameras or accident blackspots.
And for those motorists looking to take a motoring holiday, the company has introduced two lockable roof boxes, one meant for family travel and the other for sports.
The 450 litre model will be spacious and suited for family holidays, while the 460 litre sports model will have longer, thinner dimensions suited for sports equipment.
