Hoteliers in Scotland are confident that holidaymakers will continue to get
travel insurance and take breaks in 2009.
The Herald reports that hotel owners across the country have seen a "surge in confidence" in early bookings for next year.
And to make sure that all people have to worry about is relaxing and enjoying their trip, the right kind of travel insurance should be obtained before travellers set out to Scotland.
The newspaper reports that a survey from the Association of Scotland's Self-Caterers shows that 75 per cent of businesses polled reported getting as many bookings over this festive period as they did last year.
Lady Claire MacDonald, who owns the Kinloch Lodge Hotel on Skye, said that despite "only hearing gloom", her hotel was expecting an "extremely healthy" start to 2009.
She told the newspaper: "The day before yesterday we took 14 bookings in one day. So when I look at our reservations book, I can say we are in very optimistic mood."
