Women still favour smaller cars over other models, it has been revealed.
A survey published by Confused.com shows that out of the ten most popular cars that women get quotes for, nine were small vehicles, with the Ford Ka coming out as the most chosen vehicle by female quote seekers.
In fact, Ford performed well with both sexes, with the manufacturers Focus model topping the list of the most popular vehicle to be chosen by men getting a
car insurancequote.
Among the other small cars to be popular with the ladies were the Peugeot 206, the Vauxhall Corsa, the Renault Clip and the Mini Cooper.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, sporty high-performance cars such as Honda Civic Type R's and Subaru Impreza WRX were popular among men using the website.
Moneysupermarket.com says that these findings show women could be beating the credit crunch by making "significant" savings on
car insurance and petrol in their smaller run-arounds.
The new Bond instalment, the Quantum of Solace, will feature a Ford Ka.
