Those looking to get
travel insurance and jet off for a skiing break are considering the resort and snow conditions above anything else, it has been suggested.
As well as considering holiday cover, skiers could also find that a specific
ski insurance policy could give them the right level of protection.
Brand and product manager at the Ski Club of Great Britain Carrie Hainge commented that snow conditions were often better in the more popular "top-end resorts".
Holidaymakers who are beginners on the slopes may find that borrowing friends' equipment and taking a few lessons before travelling could help, she said.
Figures from the Ski Club of Great Britain's Snowsports Analysis 2008 showed that the number of people going on a ski break in 2007/08 increased to 1.35 million.
InsureandGo ski insurance could be the right type of cover for those winter sport beginners, to ensure that should an accident occur, it can be sorted out swiftly and with little cost.
