The Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney has been presented with an award for its food in the UK Conde Nast Traveller's annual Gold List 2008.
One of only three such facilities in the country to receive an accolade in this year's list, the hotel was given the prize based on a number of factors, including ambience, design, food, rooms, service and cost.
Michael Cotton, the general manager of the accommodation, commented: "Winning 'Best Hotel for Food' is an extremely rewarding accolade and demonstrates the high level of food quality and variety offered. It's a great testament to the highly-skilled restaurateurs."
The hotel received an overall score of 94.72 per cent.
