Adventurous winter sports enthusiasts may wish to head to Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Germany to watch some of the world's best snowboarders in the German Superpipe Open and Championship in March.
Spectators can even strap in and have a go themselves during the open event, although the huge four-metre half-pipe ramp is not designed for the faint hearted.
The competition will be full with some of the world's best current and future snowboarders and is seen as a breeding ground for talent.
Its close proximity to Zurich also makes it an ideal destination for both die-hard fans and curious holidaygoers alike.
The superpipe is one of the most exciting snowboard events there, with competitors travelling down the huge semi-circle shaped snow ramp and hurling themselves in to the air to perform tricks at either end of the ramp. Points are awarded for style, height and difficulty.
