Manchester parking attendants are to become the first in the country who will be able to record their ticket issuing on video.
NCP Services, which is in charge of the Salford traffic attendants, has introduced the new video technology which will see cameras attached to wardens' heads.
It is hoped that being able to record when wardens issue tickets, will help resolve disputes and problems concerning a lack of evidence.
"The cameras will be crucial in gathering evidence on the circumstances of why a fixed penalty has been issued," said James Pritchard, communications manager of NCP Services.
"In many disputes it can often boil down to one person's word against another."
The video evidence will now be used to help "clear up any doubts".
NCP hopes that councils across the country will also begin to use the technology to cut the number of parking ticket disputes.
