Guests who do not have time to enjoy a leisurely trip to a museum or gallery may soon be able to get their culture fix in their hotel, it has been reported.

ABC News reports that an increasing number of hotels are decorating their rooms and lobbies with original work by a range of artists.

While many guests may be used to mass-produced printed artwork in their hotel facilities, they may now be able to enjoy much more original pieces.

Stephen Brandman, co-owner of Thompson Hotels, tells the news agency: "No longer is the traveller just looking for a clean bed and a free cup of coffee in the morning."

He adds that the inclusion of fine art demonstrates thoughtfulness on the part of the hotelier.

The agency recently reported that many major hotels are currently trying to create trendy areas for guests to relax in their lobbies.

Wherever consumers plan to stay while on a break, they may well find that InsureandGo can offer them a great deal on a travel insurance policy.
