Statistically, today (January 18th) is the most dangerous day to drive on Britain's roads, a new report suggests.
What's more, its findings also conclude that of all the days of the week, Friday sees the most accidents on average.
The statistics are compiled by Admiral and involved examining data from its 1.8 million road accident reports collected over the past 15 years.
Managing director Sue Longthorn said: "It's not surprising to see that the worst day of the week for accidents is a Friday as people are tired after a long week at work."
She added that there is a direct correlation between the number of accidents taking place and how far through the week it is.
Unsurprisingly, February 29th was identified as the day when accidents are least likely to happen as it only occurs every leap year.
The findings follow a recent announcement by tyre company Kumho that there are 6,500 more UK road accidents in the winter than during summer.
