Despite warnings over the state of the US economy, there are still record numbers of people travelling. A new report claims that this makes
travel insurance more important than ever.
The study asserts that
travel insurance provides protection for many things that are not covered by other insurance policies, including trip costs, medical expenses and travel delays, making it useful for journeys of all kinds.
"From the once-in-a-lifetime trip you've worked so hard for, to the career-making business trip; if you've paid for it, you want to be certain that nothing will cause you to lose that money," advises Jim Grace, president and chief executive officer of US-based Insuremytrip.com.
He also advised that it is important for people to assess what level cover is needed and ensure that their
travel insurance policy provides it.
The report follows recent commentary from The Times asserting that
travel insurance is vital for those who have booked holidays in countries with an unstable political situation, as the danger is that if the trip is cancelled the costs will not be refunded.
InsureandGo offers a number of tailored
travel insurance policies to provide protection for a host of journeys and destinations.
