The tourism industry in the US may experience a surge as people get
travel insurance and jet off to the country to see the change in president.
According to ABTA - The Travel Association, US tourism will see an "Obama boom".
Frances Tuke, a spokesperson for the group, said that when Obama became president it would give tourism in the country a "feel good factor".
Figures from ABTA show that 13 per cent of British holidaymakers say they are more likely to visit the US now that Obama has been elected.
Travelling to any country makes
holiday insurance essential, to make sure that any incidents which could disrupt the trip are dealt with at little financial cost.
British holidaymakers look like they are currently prioritising the cost when booking a break away.
ABTA research suggests that one in five people are planning to bag a last minute bargain break.
InsureandGo can offer holiday insurance to cover a break to the States in the wake of the election.
