Troubled rock star Pete Doherty was in court again yesterday this time for driving without insurance or a licence.
The Babyshambles front man was handed a two month disqualification, a £200 fine for having no insurance and a further £100 fine for driving without a licence. He was also ordered to pay £55 in costs.
Police pulled over a Jaguar seen driving in a wild and erratic fashion in east London last November and arrested the 27-year-old, who has been in and out of prison over the last few years for a string of drug offences.
In his defence, Doherty's lawyer Sean Curran insisted that Doherty had in fact asked one of his managers to buy an insurance policy on his behalf but had forgotten to follow up the request.
But district court judge Jane McIvor had no sympathy, telling the court that the defendant could face a jail term if caught again.
Doherty is rumoured to be engaged to supermodel Kate Moss, who was snapped by a national newspaper snorting cocaine in 2005.
