As the costs of motoring continue to increase, finding a vehicle where the cost of filling up the tank does not stretch beyond the car insurance premium may be an appealing offer.

And the winner of this year's What Car? Car of the Year award may be one such vehicle.

Bagging the overall title, as well as the crown of Best Supermini, was the new Ford Fiesta.

What Car? editor Steve Fowler said the new Fiesta is the "most complete" small car the team has ever tested.

"It's practical enough to be used as a family car, fun enough to be used as a sports car and stylish enough to make the right impression," he said.

While car insurance premiums can be kept down by finding a low-cost policy, other running costs are all taken care of by the new Fiesta.

The Econetic version of the car, designed to be exceptionally environmentally friendly, can average around 76 miles per gallon and releases less than 100 g/km of CO2, meaning that fuel and tax costs can be kept to a minimum.

And to match these low motoring costs, InsureandGo offers a range of cheap car insurance policies.ADNFCR-857-ID-18988951-ADNFCR
