Women are more attracted to men who drive expensive cars, new research has found.
And to make sure they keep turning female heads, drivers should make sure their
car insurance covers them for any damage to their pricey motor.
A team of researchers from the University of Wales Institute in Cardiff showed a group of women two pictures, one of a man sitting behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta and one driving a Bentley Continental.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, all the 120 women involved said that the man behind the wheel of the £70,000 car was the most attractive.
And with tens of thousands to spend on a motor, people who purchase such vehicles would be wise to fork out a little extra on car insurance.
Donna Dawson, a psychologist who specialises in personality, behaviour and relationships, told the Scotsman that the results did not surprise her.
"I think women have always looked to men for some sort of financial security and the car is proof of that," she commented.
InsureandGo offers low cost car insurance which can cover the cost of damage to an expensive motor or a battered banger.
