People who drive as part of their job have been told they are among the most at-risk motorists on the road.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) places occupational drivers alongside young motorists as two groups that are particularly vulnerable.
Young people who drive often in a work capacity might be particularly keen to ensure they have adequate car or
van insurance as a result - especially if they are newly qualified and their insurer has not been made aware.
RoSPA road safety manager for England Duncan Vernon says: "Road safety is a responsibility best shared between employers and employees."
He adds: "Young drivers and occupational drivers are among the most vulnerable users of our roads."
But with a focus on safety, RoSPA argues that injuries and fatalities while on the job can be effectively reduced.
RoSPA points out that work-related driving need not mean just getting behind the wheel for the job itself, but can also include commuting to the workplace.
InsureandGo can provide van insurance to meet the needs of different drivers.
