Business travellers are urging the aviation industry to provide more service to allow them to keep in touch while they're flying.
According to a study by Barclaycard Business, 66 per cent of respondents said they would like airlines to provide wireless internet connections for use on-board.
Online booking facilities were also in demand, with 34 per cent of people stating that they would like to see more mobile phone check-in services offered, vnunet.com reports.
"As business travel continues to rise, so too does the need for technological advancements designed to save travellers' time and money," said Barclaycard Business' director of commercial cards Denise Leleux
However, many respondents said that they still preferred to conduct business in person, with only 36 per cent saying improved technology had reduced the need to travel.
Earlier this year, the European Commission approved the use of in-flight mobile and data devices for passengers.
