A travel blogger has said that when he is in an unfamiliar city in the UK, checking the website TrustedPlaces.com can often throw up "eclectic and interesting" suggestions for things to do.
Writing for the Telegraph, blogger Milo Yiannopoulos says that the local recommendations site is his "first port of call" to find an exciting activity.

TrustedPlaces.com allows users to post their own reviews of bars, restaurants or any other place which may interest a tourist.
Mr Yiannopoulos notes that the reviews are written by "regular punters".
"I find them a good deal more reliable and entertaining than some of the published guides," he goes on to say.
Last year, the Telegraph detailed the 20 best travel websites, noting that Black Tomato has a "superb ideas generator".
