Drivers who use the roads during the morning rush hour may be interested to know that accidents hit a peak at that time.
New figures suggest that around 1.6 million school run drivers have had a car accident in the last five years - a fact that the British Insurance Brokers Association (Biba) has described as "not surprising".
Graeme Trudgill, technical and corporate affairs executive for Biba, said: "The school run is the peak time, it's when we get the most vehicles on our congested roads so it's a combination of things. The school run incidents are quite often the little bumps that you get in trying to quickly drop off and pick up your little ones.
