A new study has revealed that around 12 million people will book a holiday over the next two months.
The study found that 23 per cent of this figure will be making their plans within the week following Christmas and that 14 per cent of these people are expecting to spend more than £1,000 per person.
However, travellers are being encouraged to make sure they have adequate travel insurance in place as the wide range of holidays available can determine which policy is best suited to them.
