Those planning on attending a festival in the coming months have been advised that looking abroad can allow them to turn the affair into more of a holiday.
Ross Purdie, editor of online resource Virtual Festivals, said that last year's bad weather had resulted in a burgeoning interest in overseas music events.
He added that tickets were also often a lot cheaper than passes for UK festivals.
