Despite the current economic gloom - as well as general winter blues - the lure of New York may prove to be a temptation that can't be missed.
Even though consumers may well have other things on their mind, taking out a travel insurance policy and booking a flight to New York may be too much of a draw, an expert has argued.
Tom Hall, the travel editor at Lonely Planet, said that consumers are well aware of the environmental impact that a transatlantic flight will have, but this is not likely to stop anyone that really wants to go to the city.
