The first direct flight service between Leeds Bradford and Copenhagen has been launched by bmi regional.
The new service will be launched this summer as part of the airline's expansion plan, which includes taking its fleet up to 20 aircraft, thus boosting the chance for further destinations within continental Europe.
Henrik Kahn, director of VisitDenmark UK & Ireland, said: "It is great to see an airline that has the confidence to increase its fleet size to serve its existing routes and to add some exciting new destinations to its portfolio.
"Naturally, we are thrilled that Copenhagen is among them."
Holidaymakers searching for city breaks in Copenhagen can also get there with Scandinavian Airlines from London Heathrow, London City, Birmingham, Manchester, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dublin or Sterling Airlines from London Gatwick.
