Do I need a visa for Ghana?

Yes, you do need to apply for a visa to travel to Ghana. To apply for a visa you’ll need to contact the Ghanaian High Commission.

Healthcare in Ghana

There are public and private healthcare centres in Ghana. The standards can often be quite poor and may not be able to facilitate any serious injuries, meaning medical evacuation may be necessary. It’s important to make sure that you have adequate travel insurance in place which includes cover for medical treatments and repatriation.

It’s also important to make sure you speak to your GP at least four to six weeks prior to travel, to check whether there are any vaccinations or other preventatives needed.
