A cat insurance policy from InsureandGo can give your feline friend cover for vet and boarding fees, holiday cancellation if your cat needs emergency treatment, loss by theft or straying, and loads more. For full details regarding cat insurance cover, please read our policy documents or have a look at our pet insurance FAQs page for any questions you may have.
Typically, the cheapest policy available, this type of cat insurance will cover you if your cat dies or needs treatment as the result of an injury. This won’t include any pre-existing or non-emergency illnesses (e.g. skin conditions, diabetes, etc.) Our Accident Only cat insurance provides cover of up to £1,250 for accidental injuries only.
This cat insurance also covers any ‘complementary treatment’ resulting from an injury (e.g. vet consultations, tests, medication and even chiropractic manipulation provided it’s been recommended and carried out by your vet).
Often referred to as ‘time-limited’ cover, Our Standard insurance is an annual policy which provides your cat with cover for up to £3,000 per condition for up to 12 months. This means there will be a 12-month time limit on any one illness your cat might have. Once the 12 months is up, the condition will be excluded from the policy.
This policy includes all of the above, plus cover for illnesses, theft or straying, boarding fees if you’re injured and need someone to care for your cat, holiday cancellation (if you have to cancel because your cat becomes ill), and emergency repatriation. We offer three types of Maximum Benefit cover for cats, with vet fees limits of £2,000, £4,000 and £7,000 per condition. For more information, see our policy documents.
Unlike time-limited policies, with Maximum Benefit, your cat’s illness or injury will continue to be covered when you renew, although you may only claim up to the maximum amount per condition.
This is the policy that’s often recommended by vets. Our lifetime insurance provides your cat with cover for up to £12,000 per year for any conditions which crop up as long as you don’t let the cover lapse. This means that, unlike time-limited and Maximum Benefit policies, your cat will be covered for an illness or injury for its lifetime up to an annual amount rather than an amount per condition. We offer three types of cat lifetime cover, with vet fees limits of £4,000, £7,000 and £12,000 per year.
All cat insurance policies include third-party liability which will cover the cost of damage caused by your cat to a person or their property. For more information on all of our cat insurance policies, see our policy documents page.
Having cat insurance can have many benefits, such as cover for up to £12,000 for vet fees, claims can be paid directly to your vet, and a 24/7 claims line. We can also cover overseas travel cover on selected policies.
Unfortunately, InsureandGo do not cover medical expenses for any medications or treatment resulting from a pre-existing condition.
Yes, we cover for up to £12,000 worth of vets bills. Also, if you buy one of our Maximum Benefit or lifetime policies, your pet is covered for treatment for up to 45 days abroad each policy year.
