How do I get a visa for Sri Lanka?
As a British citizen, you are required to have a visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to enter Sri Lanka. With a valid ETA, foreign citizens are allowed to visit Sri Lanka for up to 30 days as a tourist. You can apply for the Electronic Travel Authorization System online or can arrange your visa on arrival, but it is advised to use the online service to avoid a lengthy wait at the airport.

Healthcare in Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka has universal healthcare, but the standards are often lower than in the UK and it can be difficult to get treatment outside of the main cities. In big cities like Colombo, Kandy or Galle, there are private hospitals as well as public ones. Private hospitals can reject you if you can’t show that you have appropriate travel insurance or that you have enough money to cover unexpected medical treatments. Before you travel, please visit your GP to seek any medical advice or check if you need any vaccinations for your holiday destinations.
