Why choose annual travel insurance?
Many of us plan on taking multiple trips away each year. During our summer survey1, 84% of our customers told us they plan to go on at least two holidays in the next 12 months. Over 54% planned to travel three or more times! Having to arrange multiple travel insurance policies can be easy, but why not make life even easier and set up one policy to cover all your trips for a year?
Buying annual travel insurance means that you can take as many trips as you like over 12 months without worrying about arranging a new policy each time. With one policy number, you’ll already have all the details you need, and once your policy has started you’ll be covered for cancellation from the moment you buy your holiday.
It can also work out cheaper to cover all your trips under one policy than to arrange separate single trip travel insurance for each holiday.
It’s no wonder that annual travel insurance is popular – 46% of our customers said they intended to travel more in 2022 than they did in 2019.
How does annual travel insurance work?
When you buy annual multi-trip travel insurance, you choose a region of cover based on where you plan to travel over the insurance period. Don’t worry if you’re not sure where you’re travelling when you buy your policy, as this can be upgraded later on if needed.
- Europe (plus countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea, plus Madeira and The Azores)*
- Worldwide (except the USA, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean)
Once you’ve selected your region, complete the easy quote process, providing details for all travellers you want to cover and choosing your start date. When you’ve bought your policy, you’ll be covered for trips for 12 months from the start date you picked.
Remember that cancellation cover only applies after the start date of the policy.
To make sure you stay covered for any future trips, we’ll automatically renew your policy when it expires. We’ll write to you before this happens, and you can contact us at any time to opt-out.
So an annual policy can save you time and money and lets you focus on looking forward to your trips, no matter how many you take. Why not get an annual travel insurance quote today?
