Healthcare in Ghana

There are public and private healthcare centres in Ghana. The standards can often be quite poor and may not be able to facilitate any serious injuries, meaning medical evacuation may be necessary. It’s important to make sure that you have adequate travel insurance in place which includes cover for medical treatments and repatriation.

It’s also important to make sure you speak to your GP at least four to six weeks prior to travel, to check whether there are any vaccinations or other preventatives needed.

You can find more information about healthcare in Ghana here.
