Business travel insurance

Whether it’s a one-off business trip or part of your regular routine, our business travel insurance could be ideal. Our business travel insurance offers cover that extends beyond your normal holiday insurance. Also, post-Brexit, it’s as important as ever to make sure that you’re covered should anything interrupt your business trip at the last minute.

What is business travel insurance?

Business travel insurance will make sure you are covered during your business trip for accidents, illness, flight cancellations and more. Our business travel insurance can also cover your equipment, which means that should your work laptop get stolen, damaged or lost, we’ll do our best to help you.

What does business travel insurance cover?

Our business travel insurance can cover your travel as well as your business equipment.

Our business insurance cover upgrade includes:

  • Buying or hiring essential equipment that’s lost, stolen or damaged during the trip
  • Buying or hiring essential equipment that’s delayed or lost during the outward journey
  • Emergency courier expenses to replace essential equipment
  • Replacing lost or stolen company money (or your own if self-employed)
  • Extra personal accident benefit
  • Extra baggage delay benefit

The great thing about our business travel insurance add-on is that it’s available for both one-off trips and multiple trips throughout the year.

Make sure to look over your policy documents for more detail. Policy excesses and limits apply; our Black policy comes with no excess as standard but see the table below for Silver and Gold excess information:

What if I take more than one business trip?

If your business trip abroad is a one-off, then our single trip travel insurance should be all you need. If you’re a lucky so-and-so jetting off on a few expenses-paid business trips this year, then you may find our annual travel insurance works best for you.

What if there’s a group of us going on a business trip?

If there is a group of you going on the same business trip, consider our group travel insurance and select the business travel insurance add-on for complete travel insurance for all. Just so you know, we have no maximum person limit on our group travel policies, however if you do take out group business insurance cover then you must make sure all members travel together. Members of the group that may be getting a later plane or coming from a different airport will need to get their own separate travel insurance in order to be covered. In addition to the business travel insurance extras that come as standard such as business equipment cover, your group will also have cover for over 50 different sports and activities including safaris, running and fishing.
