Do I need a visa for Hungary?

What travel insurance do I need for Hungary?

If you’ll only be travelling once this year, single trip travel insurance to Hungary will cover your holiday. If you might be travelling more often, Hungary travel insurance is included in all our European annual multi-trip policies.

Healthcare in Switzerland

You should carry your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) or the Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) while you’re in Hungary. These cards will entitle you to free or reduced cost emergency medical treatment. However, it’s important to still have travel insurance for Hungary, to cover any costs that the EHIC/GHIC won’t cover, like repatriation.

If you have pre-existing medical conditions you must declare these before you buy your policy to ensure you’re fully covered.

Can you help if I need medical treatment while in Hungary?

Yes – all our policies come with access to our 24-hour emergency assistance team, so there will always be someone here to help you if you become ill or are injured while abroad.

If you need emergency medical assistance just give our team a call any time, day or night.
